Mark Paquette pretty much was the lone turbo entry in the class. However this did not stop him from letting the rest of the field see a glimpse of what is to come from his team and turbo charged machine.
The Dragbike Live.com film crew was on location during the MiRock Superbike Series Spring Nationals held April 30 thru May 1 2011 at Maryland International Raceway. While filming the event we captured some great Pro Mod action!
Lighting up the scored board with a outstanding 4.07 elasped time@ 179 miles per hour, Paquette did so on a pass that has room for improvement and to what seems to be the dismay of a few fellow competitors in the class.
Almost instantly it seemed the complaining began with a few nitrous teams wanting this turbo to add weight to slow it down thus asking MiRock officials to look at the rules.
Paquette had a chance to reset the ET record but was unable to back the 4.07 elapsed time up to within the 1 percent rule. Dragbike Live understands that Paquette's bike is not running at full potential, the team expects more from it very soon as they get a better handle on all the available technology that has been built into the pro mod drag bike.
